Maintenance and management instruction for PV mounting system
General
PV mounting system can be divided into ground system, roof system, façade, BIPV, etc, which need to be checked, maintained and protected at certain frequency so as to ensure its good performance.
Maintenance and management system
1 Staffing
Professional maintaining team need to be set up to provide services for planned and emergent maintenance.
2 Tools for maintenance (Refer to Annex 1)
3 Preparation for materials of ordinary maintenance (Refer to Annex 2)
4 Institutions
4.1Maintenance reporting system need to be established to report the maintenance plan
4.1.1plan for ordinary checking and maintenance
In order for the reliability and safety of the PV systems, ordinary checking and maintenance will be needed at the frequency of at least once per month.

4.1.2 Checking and maintenance after harsh weather conditions
Checking and maintenance need to be taken after such harsh weather conditions as storm above 6 degrees, tropical storm, snow and earthquake, and records need to be made accordingly. Reports need to be submitted for dealing with damages.
4.1.3 Annually routine checking and maintenance
This action ensures the reliable operation of the PV systems. Specific and detailed annual maintenance plan need to be made according to the annually routine checking and maintenance guidance provided by suppliers and actual condition with the principle of prevention and planned checking.

4.1.4 Report for annual maintenance
The maintaining team should summarize the problems emerged during the maintenance around the year and report to the company or manufacturer.
4.1.5 Method for dealing with general problems (Refer to Annex 5)
Report need to be submitted to company or manufacturer regarding the checking and maintenance result.
4.1.6 System for registry and signature
Registry and signature by checking person need to be recorded.
5 Safety rules
Checking and maintenance for the mounting system higher than 2.5m should be undertaken strictly according to the following rules:
5.1 Special clothes and safety belt will be needed.
5.2 Safety helmet and other protection measures will be required for the maintaining staff.
5.3 checking and maintenance should be prohibited under storms with the degree above 4, rain and snow, and night without lighting.
5.4 No smoking and drinking will be allowed during checking and maintenance.

2. zinc rich epoxy primer should be painted once the hot dip zinc layer is damaged with the thickness of no less than 120μm. Once the mounting kit get rusty, sand paper can be used to clean the rust and zinc rich epoxy primer or other protection painting material can be used later after the cleaning. -
