Recently, at the rooftop photovoltaic construction site of Guangxi Xinduo Ceramics Co., Ltd. in Teng County, Wuzhou City, Guangxi, employees of the Southern Power Grid are inspecting and guiding the company's rooftop photovoltaic power generation project. The workers are busy installing photovoltaic power generation components. After the project is completed and put into operation, it will become the largest photovoltaic building integrated (BIPV) demonstration project in Guangxi.

Adopting the model of "self-consumption and grid-connected surplus power", distributed photovoltaic power generation is built using idle production workshops and warehouse roofs in the factory area. The project's grid-connected operation is expected to generate an average annual power generation of 17.5354 million kilowatt-hours, equivalent to the power generation of 7,014 tons of standard coal, reducing carbon dioxide emissions by 1,753.54 tons, and achieving significant environmental benefits. The current preliminary design installation capacity is 20.5MW.

The project fully adopts the Baowei New Energy BIPV bracket solution. Compared with the traditional solution of laying photovoltaic modules on the color steel tile roof, Baowei New Energy BIPV uses photovoltaic modules to directly lay the roof, which saves costs while effectively increasing the installed capacity of the photovoltaic power station by more than 30%.

In terms of product functions, Baowei New Energy BIPV adopts high-strength, corrosion-resistant zinc-aluminum-magnesium water guide grooves and EPDM sealing strips, which not only ensures that the structure is stable and leak-proof in heavy rain weather, especially strong typhoon weather in the coastal areas of South China; but also can effectively deal with building vibrations and thermal expansion and contraction of the roof.

In addition, owners can also add pressure resistance, heat insulation, lighting, ventilation, airtightness and other aspects to the BIPV roof optional functions according to their own needs, so that it can meet multifunctionality while reducing construction costs and increasing the overall benefits of the project.

Baowei BIPV integrates power generation, building materials, waterproofing and other application functions. It has a wide range of applications and is becoming increasingly diversified with the application scenarios of photovoltaics.

In the future, in order to help achieve the goals of "carbon peak and carbon neutrality", Baowei New Energy BIPV will help companies rationally utilize idle areas such as production plants and warehouse roofs to install photovoltaic power generation equipment, and use clean electricity for production operations, injecting clean momentum into the company's green, low-carbon and environmentally friendly development.
