China Energy Construction Tianjin Electric Power Construction led the construction of the 50 MW photovoltaic power station project in Jeddah, Malaysia. The longest road from Kuala Kiti Town in Baling County, Jeddah State, West Peninsular Malaysia to the capital Kuala Lumpur is 515 kilometers. It is planned to cover an area of ​​263 acres, or 1.06 million square meters, and is one of the first large-scale solar power plants in Malaysia. The ground-mounted photovoltaic power station with an installed capacity of 50 MW started construction on March 27, 2018 and officially put into commercial operation on February 25, 2019.

A 40-acre fruit plantation can be developed in the 30-meter buffer zone around the project. The park is planned to be used for growing pineapples, with an estimated harvest period of 14 months, and the total income of local residents is expected to reach US$1,166,000. This means that local residents have a sustainable and considerable income and have nearly 106 direct employment opportunities. Since the project was put into operation, it has provided clean energy for Malaysia, assisted industrial and agricultural activities in Jeddah, and brought huge economic benefits to the community.
